Motivic Integrals and Functional Equations
The functional equation for the motivic integral of Milnor number of a plane curve is derived using the Denef-Loeser formula for the change of variables. Its solution is a function of five auxiliary parameters, it is unique up to the multiplication by the constant and there is a simple algorithm to find its coefficients. The method is universal enough and gives, for example, the equations for t...
متن کاملEvaluating multiloop Feynman integrals by differential equations
One year ago Henn suggested a new approach to solve differential equations for multiloop Feyn-man integrals. It is based on the notion of uniform transcendentality. A brief review of applications of this approach is presented.
متن کاملParallel Importance Separation for Multiple Integrals and Integral Equations
In this paper we present error and performance analysis of a Monte Carlo variance reduction method for solving multidimensional integrals and integral equations. This method, called importance separation, combines the idea of separation of the domain into uniformly small subdomains with the approach of importance sampling. The importance separation method is originally described in our previous...
متن کاملFunctional Equations of Iterated Integrals with Regular Singularities
Polylogarithms are special cases of more general iterated integrals. One can hope that the known results about functional equations of polylogarithms hold also for more general iterated integrals. In fact in [5] we have proved some general results about functional equations of iterated integrals on P ( ) minus several points. In this paper we generalize our results from [5] to functional equati...
متن کاملNumerical solution of functional integral equations by using B-splines
This paper describes an approximating solution, based on Lagrange interpolation and spline functions, to treat functional integral equations of Fredholm type and Volterra type. This method can be extended to functional differential and integro-differential equations. For showing efficiency of the method we give some numerical examples.
